Here at Go Driving there is no need to worry about your first lesson, it is understandable to be nervous, but our fully qualified driving instructors will be able to guide you with professional and patient instruction to suit your needs. If you have never driven before you won't be expected to drive away from your home, your instructor will drive you to somewhere more appropriate and then guide you through the process, establishing your past experience (if you have driven before), proceeding from there to tailor the instruction to suit your needs.

All of our driving instructors are fully qualified department of transport approved and therefore get tested periodically to make sure you're getting the best instruction available.

We recommend professional instruction, but you can also practise in another vehicle if: • you are accompanied by someone who is at least 21 years of age and they have held a full driving licence for at least three years • you display ´L´ plates at the back and front of the car

The more practice you get the quicker you will gain control over your driving skills, however it is our professional opinion that taking an intensive course is not the best way of learning to drive. Each of us no-matter what we are trying to achieve are very individual and therefore require different amounts of instruction. By taking an intensive course you either get more tuition than you need or more commonly less. By far a better way if you need to learn quickly would be to have longer lessons or more than 1 lesson per week, taking guidance from your instructor as you progress. You could have lessons every day if you wish (subject to availability). This way you will only need to take the amount of lessons you need and more importantly for you, only pay for the amount of lessons you need. If you require your full licence quickly we would recommend that you sit your Theory test as soon as possible as you need to pass this before taking your practical driving test.
