| In the first year after passing your driving test, statistics
show that you are more likely to have an accident than at any
other time in your driving career. Drivers under 21 are involved
in 15% of all accidental deaths and new drivers make up just 10%
of licence holders, but are involved in 29% of accidents. The Pass Plus syllabus contains six specially designed topics of instruction town driving all weather driving out of town driving and rural roads night driving dual carriageway driving motorway driving and will require at least six hours of tuition to complete. There is no further test to take. When your instructor is satisfied with your performance you will receive a certificate from the driving standards agency showing that you have successfully completed the course and therefore entitled to an insurance discount from one of the companies taking part in the scheme. Discounts vary but most people save a great deal more than it costs them to complete the course. Your Go Driving Instructor can provide more information on the scheme including the content of the training sessions and the cost involved.
