Introduced in January 2000 was a new method of taking your theory test. Before this time you would mark your answers on paper and get the results up to 10 days later in the post. If you wanted to know on the day, there was a charge of £25. Now when you attend the theory test you use a touch screen computer, questions appear on the screen, you select the answer(s) that you think are correct by touching the screen, simple. You will also be pleased to hear that the results are available within 30 minutes of you finishing, at no extra charge.

As of 14th November 2002, the Hazzard Perception test was incorporated into the driving theory examination, this will evaluate your ability to recognise and anticipate possible hazzards and to take appropriate action. Further information can be found on the DSA website.
